We have a little goat that was abandoned by her mother. She is 6 days old and has a snotty nose, sneezes alot, and also has mucus in one of her ears. Do I need to give her penicillin? She weighs 2.5 pounds so what would the dose be? Thanks in advance for any help.
Last year we had two doe's that were a few weeks old snotty nose. My word to wise with yucky nose is to keep checking it and wipe with warm wet cloth. My little Emma gg was passing out and I thought she had died on me. While my nephew was holding her I noticed some green around her nose, she I got a warm wet cloth and wiped her nose.....out came a HUGE glop of snotty, hay, dust, and who knows what. After cleaning both sides she took a huge deep breath and was good to go. We had to give her meds for about 2 weeks and 2-3 times a day I wiped her nose. With how much to give I can't say.. my mom is a nurse so she helped with med dose. Good luck and keep an eye on her so she don't clog up.
